d20 Mecha Book - Solid

Pretty much what I expected it to be ... except shorter. Well organized, however. Tied in with the rest of the system.

Great concept, can get VERY complicated

The concept is pretty simple: Let's play a d20 game where we pilot giant robots, make our own super vehicles, or wear awesome power armor. The overall system works, but the game can get extremely complicated during Mecha creation. There are so many factors to making your mecha, which can be seen as nice, but actually having a group of players make their own mecha only to realize that they made terrible decisions is very disheartening. You literally build your mecha (Giant Robot, vehicle, spaceship, power armor, etc.) from the ground up, but you have to REALLY look at all the details to know exactly what you want, and that can be very daunting.
If you know what you're doing, have plenty of time to spare, and are willing to go to great lengths to build the best mecha you can, then by all means play this game. But do note that mecha creation can take a LONG time, and if you're not prepared for it, can get very boring in a group, especially if the overall mecha isn't as good as you would have hoped.
