Courtney Smith Kramer is the co-founder and Executive Creative Director for PureMatter, and is proud to be one of the 3% of female creative directors in the United States. An accomplished creative strategist, storyteller, writer and designer, she has earned hundreds of creative awards and jurors creative competitions across the county. She has a wicked dirty sense of humor and swears like a sailor but has to be serious (mostly) for her job. Her first book, "21 Reasons Creativity is Like Sex," launched in Fall 2016.

A spoonful of adult humor helps the practical advice go down

Courtney Smith Kramer is Tom Cruise to my Cuba Gooding Jr., and she's got me shouting “show me the money!” right back at her through my kitchen cordless with this one.

Courtney slips straight-up real talk and data from science and anecdotes from actual people—who also know what they're taking about and also probably like being creative and having sex and social things—into a handsome package, sweetened with that's-what-she-saids and playful and jokes that any respectable teenage boy would snicker at too.

The author’s words poke each of us in the shoulder with a stern, unbent, Uncle Sam-looking index finger to say, “you're so money and don't even know or remember it, lady or man!!” and we don't feel the pain because we're still reeling at [peaceful, penis-fencing monkeys or “soft-handed windshield wiper action” or organizing a gynecocratic revolution or buying new loudspeakers].

You had me at "That's what she said"

I have a stack of books to read but I fast-tracked this book to the top of the list and read it right away. Courtney is the voice in my head when it comes to #ThatsWhatSheSaid; add in the massive amounts of facts, theories and concepts and you get this book. I have a critical thinking mind but have always had an aversion to the word "creativity" as I can't draw my way out of a paper bag or color within the lines. Kudos to Courtney for drawing parallels between creativity and sex; each chapter is an eye-opener and a mind-bender on how to jump start your creative mind. I feel smarter & inspired after reading "21 Reasons Creativity Is Like Sex" - isn't that the goal of any book?!

One Reason I Like Twenty-One Reasons

Iconoclastically creative Courtney Smith Kramer lures us into her world with the promise of a giggle and a bit of titillation, and then keeps us there. We find ourselves staying for the delight, the wit, the love of the topic. While others might have written the definitive tome on the subject, CSK uses her creativity to further reinforce her ideas. Breeze over a chapter, come back, go deeper, skim, repeat. It doesn’t matter how you attack her work and that is the beauty of her style. She proves her point on creativity by her very expression of it. It is beautifully pointed out that it is not linear and it is not metered. Creativity can be channeled and directed, if you know how. These ideas benefit not only those who consider themselves creative, but anyone who desires to find the best outcome to their obstacles. Without a doubt, this book will fully exercise your biggest sex organ (That would be your brain. Pervert!)

Talat S. Halman is a leading translator of Turkish literature into English. Before establishing the Department of Turkish Literature at Bilkent University, Ankara, he taught at Columbia University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and New York University. Halman is author and editor of more than sixty books, including Contemporary Turkish Literature, Modern Turkish Drama, and Suleyman the Magnificent Poet. An excellent academic book on the theory behind performance tuning for 2-stroke motorcycles. Geared specifically for GP and Kart racers, this hardcover treasure has turned out to be a great reference source for questions on the logic and concepts that pertain to tuning a 2-stroke for maximum performance.
This doesn't always mean maximum horsepower. As is stated by the author, every great 2-Stroke racing machine is a compromise of power -vs- function. This concept alone makes the book well worth the purchase price.
A "must-have" if you race a 2-stroke, especially a Yamaha TZ250 or 125. Includes tons of pictures, charts, graphs, comparisons, numbers. formulas, theory, examples, stories, and more!

Might be too technical

When I found this book I was hoping that it would educate me on how to actually tune a motor. It covers more of how to build a tuned motor. If I were to ever take up engine building I would highly recommend this book. If you are Joe kart racer or Bob moto racer I would put it low on the get list, as it doesn't really give much fingertip tuning tips.

Werewolf to the Rescue

Cat Watson is running from a sadistic drug dealer that wants what she's carrying. Luckily she finds refuge with "Rabid" Wolff, a bad-ass mercenary, and his brother Creed. Planning to run before they find who she is and how much money is being offered for her return to Averez, she finds out they have no intention of letting her go or returning her.

This was a really good book. I liked the story development and quirky twists. Oh, and the hot scenes were juicy. For a paranormal read this one had all the right touches to be enjoyed. There were numerous unexpected story developments that held my interest and had me entertained until the finale, which I didn't want to end. I am so hoping Draco gets a story after this one. You can't go wrong getting this book.

If you can't trust a werewolf, who can you trust?

I want to congratulate Maggie O'Malley on writing a story that gives us a new take on werewolves, vampires and ménages.

Cat, is trying to find out what happened to her sister and ends up in a situation she can't handle alone. Rio has a reputation that makes it difficult to trust him, but he takes such good care of Cat how could she not fall in love with him. When his brother, Creed comes along, and she is also his mate, what are brothers supposed to do, but share.

I would have liked to see more of a development of Cat's relationship with Creed. Also Draco and Lucy could have had their own story, rather than the rushed secondary character story they got. But Cat and Rio together sizzled, when Creed was added the story was burning hot!

If you like paranormal with lots of hot sex and a touch of kink, then you will enjoy reading this story.

Enjoyed the book. The usual misunderstood bad boy (wolf) and the vulnerable woman. Cat was a bit weak though and the introduction of Creed and development of their relationship needed more. It felt rushed and lacking in substance.

GREAT BOOK ON JAVASERVER FACES AND OMNIFACES; packed with information and cool stuff to implement on the web & at the workplace

This book is a must have for every jsf beginner; i originally purchased Mastering JavaServer Faces (intermediate to advanced) by the same author and was taken away by the impressive amount of information packed into one book. Well, I decided to follow the author on amazon and when his new book Mastering OmniFaces came out, I with some reluctance purchased it. And i say reluctance, because i didn't want to start learning a new technology before I mastered JSF (JavaServer Faces). Well this book is not a new technology in unchartered territory; its JavaServer Faces with SUPER POWERS.

if you are new to JavaServer Faces this book is for you. Its very verrrrrry fluid and easy to understand (not with standing research on the reader's end due to the infusion of some advanced topics here and there).

Chapter one JSF Components, all 260 pages of it (albeit some advanced information here and there), is dedicated to beginners of JavaServer Faces and how to "make jsf life easier" with OmniFaces short cuts.

PAGE 1 you hit the road running building your first JavaServer faces form: first name, last name, email, password; it even shows you how to build an Email Validator, where you enter an email twice to make sure you entered the right email.

Another form was the Internationalization form; where you click on a country's flag image and your web page switches between english to french vice versa; i found that to be pretty snazzy.

With each JavaServer Faces code there is a compare/contrast/shortcut/improve on how it could be done using OmniFaces.

Chapters 2 and 4 tackle Validators and Convertors that's a must for every wanna be JSF developer

Chapters 3, 5 through 9 are advanced topics on how to manipulate and play with OmniFaces/JSF.

Through out my readings of the 2 books written by this author i would have to say his knowledge in the field of JavaServer Faces is unsurpassed, extensively vast and in my opinion rules supreme.

Nothing better than this

Chuck C. was one of the early leaders of AA in Southern California. He was one of the few people who came to AA fully surrendered to the will of God and then never took it back. Some of the things you will learn in this book will seriously change your life - most especially in your relations in the business world. There are spiritual truths here that transcend any of the more common and bland twelve step guides available. What is amazing is that it was not really planned as a book at all - it's a transcription of a series of talks Chuck made at a men's retreat. For that reason, it isn't highly polished or edited. Sincerely recommended for all who want to take their spiritual growth to the next level.
